May 31, 2007- VirusList.com reports that British open WiFi networks are available with good download speeds. The Canary Wharf area and cities had over 400 hotsposts while over another 400 hotspots were identified in other areas of London.
May 10, 2007- An Estonian teenager was arrested after being accused of Denial of Service (DOS) attacks, crippling the Estonian internet services. The teenager was upset over Estonia's relationship with Russia. Others are also being ivestigated by Estonia, including Russian individuals for disrupting Estonia's internet portals.
May 9, 2007- Matt Cutt's blog reports how Google is handling bad URL's that contain malware infecting internet surfer's computers. Google is filtering out the websites containing malware so they don't show up in search results. Matt is a software engineer at Google.
May 1, 2007- The Sober family of worms made its return this last Sunday coming in email attachments that used social engineering to entice internet users to open it where the worm would then attach itself to the computer. The worm is capable of being used to send spam from infected computers. The attachment may be called Passw_Data, PDatan, or Mail_Data and have been attached to emails in zip files.
Solution: Never open attachments from unknown senders.
