Dallas Computer Repair NewsNovember 29, 2006- Symantec has admitted a "High Risk" vulnerability in Netbackup Puredisk where a buffer overflow may allow hackers to launch a Denial of Service (DOS) or even compromise systems, according to Secunia.
November 23- Kaspersky has reported that two spyware companies have been fined and asked to stop the unscupulous business activities. Odysseus Marketing was using a P2P program that actually spread programs that allowed popups on users computers and Mailwiper used their bogus anti-spyware program to deliver unethical marketing techniques. Both companies were fined by the FTC.
November 23, 2006- Secunia reports that Mac OS X has released the fixes for several vulnerabilites on its operating system.
Dallas Computer Repair NewsNovember 14, 2006- Microsoft has released its "Patch Tuesday" that fixes six vulnerabilites, including five that are considered critical.
November 9, 2006- Vulnerabilities have been reported in Mozilla's Firefox and Seamonkey according to Secunia, that could be exploited by attackers to bypass security restrictions, conduct cross-site scripting attacks and compromise the operating system. The fix is available through Secunia.
November 1, 2006- Apple has announced that it plans to release daily kernel repairs for its computer operating systems for the month of November. The latest bug was found in Apple's wireless drivers prompting concerns within the computer firm to reply with fast bug repairs.
