HCL- Hardware Compatibility List- a list of hardware compatability list certified by Microsoft.

HIMEM.SYS- a DOS memory manager that handles memory above the conventional memory range.

Hives- the 5 files of the Windows NT registry, the Default hive, the Software hive, the SAM hive and the Security hive.

Host- any device that communicates over a network using TCP/IP with a dedicated, assigned IP address.
